Why We Convene

“Sport has the power to change the world, but not if the
athletes who inspire us are silenced by digital violence.”

UAOADay was established to bridge the gap between policy and
practice. By creating a specific moment in the global sporting calendar,
we force the conversation into the mainstream, demanding
accountability from platforms and providing shelter for those targeted.

Collective Action

UAOA connects your organization to a global community of experts and peers committed to the same goal. By joining the coalition, you gain access to shared intelligence and a louder voice in the fight for safety.

Why we exist:
The digital frontline

Online abuse isn’t just “part of the game.” It is a barrier to
performance, a threat to mental health, and an obstacle to
inclusivity. We exist to ensure that the spirit of fair play
extends beyond the field and into the digital spaces where
fans and athletes connect.

Eradicating hate
through collaboration

UAOA is more than a network; it is a unified response to a
systemic crisis. We serve as the bridge between
international federations, technology providers, and
academic researchers to create a safer digital
environment for competitors at every level.

Our approach is distinct: we don’t just advocate; we build
frameworks, publish evidence, and implement real-world
protection tools that work across borders and disciplines.
