UAOA Summer Convening: Utilising Data Together

- On 11 August 2026, the FIA hosted the United Against Online Abuse (UAOA) Coalition for its second quarterly convening, where it announced the launch of the UAOA International Research Network (UAOA IRN) hosted by DCU Institute for Business & Society and supported by the FIA Foundation, as part of its efforts to coordinate the gathering and use of data across the online abuse in sport ecosystem.

UAOA Spring Convening: Strengthening the Policy Pipeline

- On 2 June 2026, the United Against Online Abuse (UAOA) Coalition convened at the FIA Paris Headquarters for the inaugural UAOA Convening roundtable event. Supported by the FIA Foundation and the European Union, the event brought together over 35 national and international partners from across government, policy, sport, academia, and the EU Forum to discuss global pipeline and identify gaps to strengthen the UAOA Coalition’s ways of working against online abuse in sport.

- In April, UAOA attended Nisien.AI’s ‘Online Safeguarding Summit‘ in London where Erin Bourke, UAOA Senior Advisor, presented UAOA to the audience of delegates from across sport, tech, legal and public authorities. UAOA also welcomed Nisien.AI to the UAOA Coalition where they will contribute their expertise in online harms and AI to help the coalition promote evidence-based and united action against online abuse.
